Composition:

Each 1 ml solution or ampoule contains:
Elemental iron….. …………… 50 mg
(As iron polvmaltose complex)

Indications:

Hydroferrin Oral Drops & Injection is indicated for the prevention and treatment of all kinds of iron deficiencies particularly iron deficiency anaemia.

Dosage and administration:

Adults: 1 ml three times daily immediately after meals.
Children (6-12 years): 1 ml once or twice daily immediately after meals.
Children (2-6 years): ½ ml to 1 ml once or twice daily immediately after meals.
Infants (5 -10 kg): ½ ml once daily.
Premature babies (less than 1.5 Kg): 3 mg of elemental iron I Kg body weight daily; approximately 2 drops of Hydroferrin Oral Drops.

Injection:

Dosage as stated in the insert leaflet.

Package and storage:

– Carton box containing a bottle of 30 ml drops.
– Carton box containing 3 ampoules, each of 2 ml injection.
– This medication is to be stored in a cool dry dark place at a temperature below 25º C.
